Mending Medicine: Humility and the Otherworld

What happens when you show up in humility to the divine? When we bow our heads to the earth and to spirit?’ –Liv Wheeler

Oftentimes we simply ask Spirit and the Divine to help us, to meet our needs. As such, we have forgotten to offer our hearts to those who walk with us, we have forgotten the true essence of reciprocity. This broken circle needs mending. Yet we need not learn, only remember.

The many nations of the ‘little people’ around the world hear our prayers and lovingly tend our soul’s paths. They have been known as the Kontomble, the Menehune, the Huldufolk, the Chahochina and the first humans. These spirit-beings have unfailingly carried tradition, art, music, medicine, memory, and hope across the ages. They are our relatives, our teachers and allies, and they pour their love into stewarding the rise in human consciousness and the health of the Earth. But why aren’t we apt to extend our gratitude and service to the ‘little people,’ to the Divine, to the Earth in kind? Is this because we have forgotten how to bow to Spirit?

Together we will explore what happens if we bow in reverence and humility to Earth and to Spirit. We will lay flower petals and sit crossed legged at their feet ready to learn and to serve. We will breathe into gentleness and being and listen. We will hear from Kontomble to learn what we may offer instead of taking, how we may help instead of needing. We will bow our heads in humble honoring and begin to mend the circle.
